Spirited Cranberry Sauce

This cranberry sauce has become a tradition around the Galbreath table for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 
It is so easy to make and you can can it as a gift for friends!

1 bag (12 oz.) fresh cranberries
1/2 cup Miss Scarlett or Bayou Blush wine
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar

Wash cranberries, pick out rotten berries. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium to high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer about 5 minutes to thicken the sauce. CAUTION: Berries will pop open and explode red sauce everywhere! Chill before serving.
